Meanwhile the general layout of the house reflects the typical characteristics of the local building traditions and materials, the large openings and the conformation of some interior spaces are based on traditional agricultural industry typical of the tuscan countryside. The use of the shed roof, the exterior plaster and a simple and compact construction, are typical elements of the agricultural building culture where we intend to make reference. The use of large glass windows and galvanized iron light pergolas for the outdoor and the patio refer to the architectures of the farm sheds for storage which are so frequent in the surrounding countryside and often annexes to traditional buildings. The two different themes are merged in order to form a traditional architecture in terms of forms and materials, as required from the municipality, yet contemporary in terms of construction technologies and in the use of living spaces.
