The project separates the required functions into "autonomous units" and "fluid spaces", distinguishing among classrooms, recognizable for form and color and everything that can be considered free space of movement and game.

The project aims to avoid a rigidly regulated architectural structure, for giving the idea instead of a free and natural place to the children. The space of the school must be first of all secure so the objective it to provide protection through the use of natural elements. The idea of the inhabited bush refers to primitive and spontaneous settlements models.

Il programma richiedeva un asilo nido ed una scuola materna che funzionassero come un unico organismo. Il progetto scinde gli spazi richiesti tra “nuclei isolati” e “spazio fluido”, distinguendo così tra aule, riconoscibili per forma e colore, e tutto quello che può essere considerato spazio libero di movimento e di gioco, dove si svolgono anche le attività in comune. In questo progetto si è cercato di evitare una struttura architettonica rigidamente regolata per dare invece, ai piccoli fruitori dell’asilo, l’idea di un luogo libero e naturale. Lo spazio della scuola deve essere soprattutto uno spazio sicuro ed il tentativo è quello di proteggerlo attraverso l’uso di elementi naturali. Nasce così l’idea del cespuglio abitato che rimanda a modelli insediativi primitivi e spontanei.
