The building’s white aluminium roof folds towards the railway forming an organism which integrates the two main functions: the entrance hall and the canopy. The elevation towards the railroad consists in a series of aluminium perforated plates with radial orientation. This allows the users to appreciate, accessing the building, an uninterrupted view of the trains and the station. The facade works also as a protective screen to the natural elements. The rotation of plates allows, looking at the building while moving along the rails, a continuous direct perception of the station core where the main functions are located and a filtered vision of the bus station. Moving along the rails one has the impression that the facade is moving too following the movement of the train.

La copertura in alluminio bianco dell’edificio al livello strada si ripiega sul prospetto verso la ferrovia e forma un organismo che integra le due funzioni principali: la stazione e la pensilina.

La parte verticale lungo il prospetto è costituita da lamelle in lamiera metallica forata orientate secondo una raggiera. Questo consente al fruitore di godere, al suo ingresso nell’edificio, di una vista non interrotta dei treni e della stazione dei treni, mentre da ogni altro punto la visuale risulta filtrata.

La rotazione delle lamelle consente, osservando l’edificio mentre si procede lentamente lungo i binari, una continua percezione diretta del nodo dove si trovano le funzioni principali della stazione ed una visione filtrata delle altre attività dell’edificio.
